Mountain king is some what lackluster in high level gameplay, he is easily kited, his stun takes too long to reach the target and it also stops his movement when he cast it. The stun makes him very clunky to use and in my opinion, bad.
Furthermore nobody is dumb enough to make him walk up to you and attack for free. His hammer throws does not help with chasing either because they are not rewarding to pick up without a heavy cooldown reduction build. If you do a build like that, he will do little damage.
Maybe some extra armor or movement spred from his ult would help?

I enjoy playing mountain king but he is only viable in a small amount of scenarios the stun range and lack of mobility make hime a suicide bomber with a competent team can be fun but otherwise completely out classed.
Making him faster or more tanky would be helpful.
Are you sure you know which hero Mountain King is? Lack of mobility wtf? He's probably fastest character in game completely. Try playing Burning Sun,Winter Witch, Lil Witch etc to see what slow is...I was surprised he's moving so fast,compared to Burning Sun for example MK moves regularly like BS moves using speed up...

Yeah, mountain king is quiet fast indeed and OP with the right team. Maybe its because i'm still hanging around silver but he can solo 2-3 heroes towards mid-game.
We never see other people anyway, only the monsters we make of them.

visual bug: bright pink squares pop up when he uses his thunders skill.
he needs to be able to keep moving when throwing his hammer and thunders, otherwise it just keeps missing, when you chasing down a target.
his melee range is too short. and thunders should be wider, or shorter but all around him, either would be good.
he needs an advancing attack, to be able to escape or catch up with targets. otherwise you need to rely on speed up or shift, which means you'll only get to use them every 2-3 minutes. maybe throwing the hammer then jumping to that spot within a time limit ? he then loses the CD or he can choose to walk up to the hammer and get the reduced CD.
any decent player has already figured out how to escape from mountain king. even though he's fast on foot, any stun or slow effect just makes him an easy target. casting your ultimate is the only way you're going to have a decent battle. any long ranged hero can micro manage an attack and easily kill him.
conclusion: short ranged with no advancing attack = easy prey for long ranged / mage.... also half decent prey for other short ranged heroes but can escape because they have an advancing attack.
there's no point in talking about late game heroes, all heroes are good late game. for the price, he should be on par with other heroes at the same price.
The enhancement skill that leeches his health makes him feel very fragile atm. If he had more health and armour as baseline it could help a lot. Currently the life tapping ability is only really useable in the late stages of the game.
