    First impressions of the test server

    I like the concept of a test server very much, it's something that we'd been demanding for quite a long time now. So, I tried it and these are my impressions:

    - First of all, I couldn't login for two days but finally I managed to do it by yesterday evening. The test server would have needed a test itself before being released at all.

    - The arenas are demonstrating how unbalanced is the game in general and the endgame in particular. You must get rid of the timeover for good.

    - I say this, despite the fact that there's a known line-up that can annihilate mostly EVERY team you can think of, which, again, shouldn't happen at all. The game is supposed to have a strong strategy component, which means that NO defence or counter should be effective against everything.

    - The booty caves are still a pain in the ass. They should work like the defence in the warhall, and we should have the means to spend more lanterns as multipliers of the loot. In my regular server I have way over 1k lanterns that I don't have the time to use anymore.

    - The sorting of the heroes is a complete MESS. There are too many heroes. Finding one in particular takes too long, specially in the War of Gods feature, where your time is very limited.

    Now, the War of Gods itself.

    - First, I insist in the very important matter of the sorting of heroes. It's way too annoying when you have just a few seconds to select two particular heroes, specially if you're trying to react to what you see that your opponent has been selecting and you want to counter it. In my normal server, everytime I promote a hero and it goes upper in the list, the WHOLE list changes, even the ones above the aforementioned hero. WHY? Sort them like now, by stars, then promotion, but then ANOTHER third criteria such as alphabetical order. It would be nice to be able to see them grouped by more categories different of front/middle/back such as int/str/agi and medal (female, naga race, etc.)

    - Something that could help would be to change the hero selection system. See, the first player has 60 seconds to pick his entire formation, hidden from player number 2. Then the second player sees it, has another 60 seconds and the battle starts. The second battle in reverse order, and the third battle if needed both have 60 seconds at the same time and go to battle blind, knowing ONLY that the heroes used previously can't be used again.

    - Sometimes the waiting time is too long, you cancel, go to search again and it finds a player instantly. It's like the search was not searching in a countinuous basis.

    - Why make it real-time anyway if you won't let us deal the ultimates at will?

    - On the very first day I saw that there were people at lv25 already, but I guess that's normal because some people don't have a real life, that's OK.

    - The chest system, I don't like it very much, specially if you have to buy the VERY overpriced additional slots every season. If it's a one-time thing like unlocking the permanent godfather, then I guess it's fair enough.

    I haven't tested it for very long but as I said I liked the initiative very much and these are only my initial thoughts. I will post more as soon as I find any bugs or things that could be improved.

    I've posted my impressions in the other thread there is.

    Just my 2 cents:
    Arena on testserver I don't find much unbalanced at all.
    Hardly ever had a timeout (even not in WoG where every player has a 6th hero come into play, but still match time is 1:30)
    Having access to all heroes Lvl105 r2 shows that timeout teams are not working so good as they do now, as DDs do much more dmg. Even if you have a Chap healing like a Duracell bunny...

    To the chests: well it's pretty much same system as in Clash Royale. Seems you get better chests for every level, but so far had none that not just contained a low amount of Hero Camp ressources...
    Not something you really need... Maybe that changes in higher levels.

    Rest I can only agree, like on:
    Sometimes it takes very long to find an opponent
    30secs to pick 2 heroes can be too short, especially as you said it's hard to find the heroes you want within almost 100 heroes... Just noticed it gets better the longer you play this, you simple learn the positions... Still that could be improved...

    The new round lags at times. And hero selection is too fast.

    You can learn the positions NOW that you have all the heroes at the same evolution and promotion. But in the regular server, each time any hero's power changes even in the slightiest of the ways, the screen position of EVERY hero will change randomly (I really have tried to find a pattern but it just makes no sense at all)... Which will force you to learn the positions again everytime.

    According to rules for WoG all heroes will always be Lvl105 full red2. So the power/positions shouldn´t change much.
    Only stars and legendary status definately makes a difference as stated in the rules - how it is with Training and academy is unclear afaik (on testserver this is also maxed)

    Nope, only the FREE heroes will be maxed... And those which you already have maxed too, of course.

    No? The rules say:
    Under Point "Hero Ability Rules"
    1. ALL your heroes will be set to fully leveled, skilled, geared and enchanted.
    2.All your heroes will remain the same star Level and legendary Status.
    So free heroes are kind of senseless, except it is someone you don´t have (so mainly VIP hero) at all or not 5* and/or not legendary

    Free Heroes Rules
    1. Free heroes are 5 star, fully skilled, promoted, geared and enchanted with legendary skills
    ..
    3. If you have had the free hero, then the hero will also be 5 star, fully skilled, promoted, geared and enchanted with legendary skills


    There´s no word about Training and academy tough...

    Only issues I have with it is the time it takes to select heroes, sometimes it's really top short to find them and specially in round 2 when order is a bit changed as used heroes aren't available. Maybe it would be better if they stayed in the list and blacked with dead on them like in crusade, it would mess with order less than them disappearing. And opponents search can be too long sometimes probably due to not tat many players playing WoG at that moment so there's nothing to be matched with.
    And think same what Dali wrote that only free heroes will be maxed, than probably training field maxed too but that's just guessing. And for time outs i did have some in WoG too

    Well, I (and a lot others) strongly believe all will be maxed....else the descriptions do not make sense at all - why mention then all your heroes will be SET (so changed to) fully leveled,geared and skilled
    and explicit mention only stars and legendary Status stays same.

    I just read rules more carefully, I think you're right, it's under that rule the next rule about free heroes so it has nothing to do with heroes you own

    Only the "Free" heroes of the week are temporarily set to fully geared lvl 105.

    That makes sense. Why all have all heroes maxed? Why somebody who has a red+2, 4 * hero to have a disadvantage to someone who has the same hero at 5* but not leveled.

    If all have to be maxed, max the stars also.
