    Daily rewards?

Why do the campaigns claim to give daily rewards? I mean, it implies the campaigns would refill daily after you hit them, right? Once you clear out the level, the resource pay out is gone, so it's essentially good for nothing more than wasting troops after that. Was this intended to be refilled daily, or was it simply an oversight of wording?

Two things I know of that campaigns are still good for after the plunder is gone are: Building your general if you have no one near to plunder, and getting rid of some troops that are in the way of completing orders if no one is on from your guild asking for reinforcements.

So uh, did you ever find out whether or not the campaigns were supposed to refill like NPC or not?

I'm going to guess since it's been changed to "Available Loot", there was no intentions of the campaigns to be refilled. One time resource gains. Fair enough, it encourages PVP instead of daily farming about 2-4 mil resources from them.

Thanks for following up on this. You are correct. Campaign battles are one-time completion events.

That's not unreasonable, I guess, except for one thing.

Campaign is an excellent way to level up a new hero ... but it can get awfully expensive. Maybe only the first couple of sets (which don't provide huge resources) could reload? Once you've done those, your hero is more likely to be ready for 'real world' battles. (Not that any of them are really going to take over for Spartacus for a very long time. lol)

Not a real high priority, of course, but I believe it's something to consider.

Most of the Campaigns, even on Easy mode, don't pay as much as the troops cost. Having it reset daily would be perfectly reasonable. As long as players had to start back at the beginning each day, it wouldn't be abused. The best design, would probably have a [Reset] button that could be clicked once a day. That way, people could work through slowly to eventually finish, or [Reset] and do them daily.

With a daily [Reset], it would take several hours of gameplay before players started to make a net profit. They would have invested several hundreds of thousands Goods in troops before they started to make anything back.

I guess it's not a big deal. Training later generals can just be done on Easy mode. By the time players are training a second general, they should have big enough farms and mines that they shouldn't need the rewards. Rewards just feel nice, even if they're not big enough to matter.

Yep. In the same way that Match is about Honor, Campaign is about Experience for your generals. Whatever resources you get in return is just a bonus.

But while you don't expect to actually PAY for your troops ... it's good to see SOMETHING on that side of the balance sheet. lol

in stead of re filling them daily why not just add more maps at even harder levels that a player can build unlike tebuchet which no one can copy
