There are many examples on when ucool does hidden updates that is either a nerf to some parts of the game or to certain heroes.

I agree with the silver chests, they were great when first released but as of late getting anything useful other than Demon Edge is now pushing it. As for the crusade, it has been broke for a long time and the add of the red gear was a help to those who got it but because it is so random does not benefit everyone in the game which goes back to a unbalanced game. I say make staged in crusade drop specific items.
Chest 5 = Purple
Chest 10 = Orange
Chest 15 = Red

Chests should be dropping All Around Shoes and Dragon Shoes being every toon needs them.

Earth helm, hewn axe, and holy bible in 1 10x silver chest yesterday.

Been getting crap recently, but the gear is still there. Perhaps you had good luck earlier, or perhaps they did nerf it a bit, but they still drop relatively often. Usually get a good purple gear once every 3 or 4 10x silver chests.
