why do campain's?

I stopped doing campaigns as they don't give you enough resources to come near the troops used to win a battle. so why do them? You get general exp if you do the first lvl. so if you are trying to lvl a general i could see doing them. If you have a huge surplus of goods and need a little gold maybe do them. but right now there benefit seems very limited, especially the ones that don't let you use a general.

Campaigns are essential for new comers to earn precious resources at the time they’re needed most (Easy mode is always easy, anyway). Our ideas behind Campaign, except serves as routes to harvest resources and general exp, are to coach players with defense and attack tactics to prepare them for real wars after. Of course, we still need to optimize Campaign outputs, based on statistics and your feedback (that’s the reason we create a forum).

Campaigns pay alot more when you get to Saxony and above they pay 3 times or more what it takes for troops, Today i had a lvl 6 TH and no resources to speak of but after doing Saxony and not all 3 levels of each i was able to upgrade my TH to lvl 7 a ballista to lvl 2 and a rally to lvl 6 with plenty of reserves left over.

I am in Saxony campaigns and have stopped doing them. If you win the first time it's ok. But after that it costs too much to fight.

once on the later maps they are totally worth it. just keep going, trust me. i just paid for a lev11 cannon off a couple boards on the hard levels. The second to last board on hard i think is 1.1mil each rez. maybe 600k on easy, cant remember

Campaigns are the gold mines in this game! The last state to do pays exceptionally well on all levels...

I disagree completely. On the last map, you get up to 600k per win. Think about that....How often do you come across that when battling other players?

I wish there were more campaigns.

I like the hero experience. The setups in some of the cities as early as Friesland gets pretty damn difficult. Some of them I haven't yet figured out how to conquer them, but I've only been on this server for a day and haven't played Evony for 3+ years.

I read about the resources used compared to gain, as best I recall that's how Evony and many games have always been. In AgeII it took tons of dead digi troops to level heroes to get to where you could conquer a L10npc and not lose all your troops.

I do the campaign for fun but mostly for hero experience. In a day I got my General L9+, and the campaigns are more fun that suiciding troops like you do with the Kingdom's Orders thing. Now that is about the stupidest thing I have ever seen in my entire life. But hey it's Evony, so you don't get any documentation either.

i was able to build my TH 8 & 9 using the loot from the campaign
was also able to upgrade some def units using reso from the campaign

i wish evony would add more campaigns coz i cant plunder that many from other players
