Lightbulb ::: Official Suggestions and Feedback Thread :::

First of all, check this Online Survey posted by fellow member K1ng Charl3s. Results here.

    _______

Hopefully this can become a sticky and bumped and become an official thread for in-game suggestions. I'll try to keep this page updated and add constructive quotes from other players here as well, such as other suggestions and feedback.

I'd like to say this is the first mobile game that really got me addicted. I love the amount of fan-service done with characters; I don't care if people say the characters are WoW-ripoffs, I like to call them as "tributes" or "homages". I honestly find the VIP system quite fair (though it needs some polishing), because yes, making a game is not easy, but a pay-to-win system is not fun either.

The game is good, yes, but it does have its flaws. I know the game marketing is a tight one, and every move can lead to either success or failure. That's why I made this thread, to hopefully reach the developers so they can help making this game better. My criticism is purely constructive. It's not something to give advantage over other players or lead to more unbalances. Heroes Charge is currently going to a path that could lead to its self destruction.

Aside from my personal opinions, I'd like to hear from other players as well. I don't want this thread to become a flame war, though. Should a clash of opinions happen, I ask from you guys to refrain from insulting each other.

I'll also link other threads with good suggestions and feedback that I find valuable.

    ::: PROGRESS :::

    • The problem:
I feel that the game should have an overall faster progress. I know that Heroes Charge is an MMO, but Progress X Effort is so slow it's obscene. When you start the game everything is beautiful, you go from Level 1 to 10 in like no time. But in later levels it takes a long time to do stuff for very little to no progress, even as a VIP.

As the Levels progresses and earning money becomes harder, the game reaches a point of stagnation, and that bores the HELL OUT of players. Leveling up becomes a chore without EXP items (I know they're relatively easy to get, but still) and the amount of Soul Stones required to summon 3 Star Heroes is so high it's revolting. Playing the game becomes a boring task after a while, with the trials being less and less attractive. When I first started where everything counted and you progressed, it gave you more motivation to play. Now I play just to complete Dailies, bored as hell, and that is it. When you reach that point it means something is seriously wrong with the game. This thread regarding EXP explains pretty well what the issue is.

    • The solution:
Increase the ratings of everything, or decrease the cost of everything, or heck, do both. EXP gained from levels and Dailies should scale with the Team Level better, to the point each Trial and each fight in the campaign REALLY MATTERS. Same with Gold earned. Everything scales. And VIPs get higher scaling to their respective VIP levels. Everybody wins.

Look, I know everything would be too easy if you could unlock Heroes and gear too fast, but it's annoying to play a good game like this while having to deal with the "WoW experience". In WoW it is at least faster because you don't have Stamina to hold you off and you can play to your heart content. Heroes Charge, on the other hand, is a mobile game, it's supposed to be somewhat "casual" and not so time consuming.

This leads to another problem, which is:

::: DROP RATES AND RNG :::

    • The problem:
This is directly linked to "Progress", as lower drop rates equals to more grinding, which equals to more time consuming tasks, which equals to less progress X effort I've discussed above.

This is something that specially bothers me regarding Soul Stones when doing Raids. It's extremely low. I've been farming for War Chief's Soul Stones in his three Elite Stages and sometimes I do all 9 attempts only to get 1 or 2 Soul Stones, it's very infuriating.

Also, regarding Gold/Crusade Chests. I know 3 Star Heroes are supposed to be "rare" Heroes, but still, the RNG (for those who don't known, "Random Number Generator") is messed up, very messed up. I'm currently Team Level 64, and I've bought many of those x10 Gold Chests and so far I've only got one 3 Star Hero from it, which is Succubus. And lately I haven't been getting anything rare from those chests, not even rare gear. It wasn't like this before.

    • The solution:
Maybe reduce the amount of required Soul Stones for both Hero unlocking and Evolutions. It's too damn high! And also increase the Soul Stone drop rate and chances of getting Heroes from chests. I think I might speak for many when I say we don't really want the "WoW Experience" in this game. It shouldn't be stupidly fast, but also not stupidly time consuming.

I also think the RNG regarding Gold/Crusade Chests should include a "smart roll": once you unlock a Hero, the RNG has a higher chance to give Soul Stones or summon Heroes you DON'T have (honestly I'm tired of getting Admiral and Lightning Master Soul Stones every time from Gold Chests). Or even, subdivide the Gold Chest into two: one for Heroes (where you can get Soul Stones and instantly unlock Heroes) and one for loot (where you get reels and complete gear).

    ::: TOOLTIPS AND LOCALIZATION :::

    • The problem:
This is more an aesthetic problem rather than technical. The localization sometimes sins terribly with translations of names and tooltips. Some skills, most notably Ember Blade's Ultimate Skill, has a very ambiguous description, saying "Release 3 fire remnants on the battlefield, when Ember Blade is hit by critical strikes, the fire remnants will explode and Ember Blade will dash to the last remnant's location.". As far as I noticed, the remnants only explode and his dashing strikes are triggered when Ember Blade reaches critical state (low HP), and not being hit by critical strikes.

Tooltips in the game should be more precise about the skills, specially those with a more complex mechanic, to avoid those problems. I also noticed some grammar and punctuation errors that hurts my very soul, and english is not even my native language.

    • The solution:
Revisions, simple as that. Shouldn't be so hard. I can gladly help with that if needed and point out each error.

::: GENERAL DESIGN AND GAMEPLAY ISSUES AND SUGGESTIONS :::

    • The problem:
Man, where to start... This thread and this one points out pretty well some of the stuff I want to say.

Also, I think the Hero purchasing is very inconsistent, because you have no clue what you're about to buy and how good that Hero is. Weeks of Arena/Grand Arena/Crusade could be lost in that process.

    • The solution:
One idea: Hero "Test Drive". Some Heroes take AGES to unlock (which was discussed above), and in the end you get something you don't really like when checking skills and such, which sucks balls. I know we have URGametips and the Wikia to help players to know which Heroes they should invest in, but I still think there should be a "Test Drive" mode, where before you purchase the Hero you're taken to a institutional video or something that showcases all the Hero's skills and everything the player needs to know about the Hero he is about to buy. That way the player doesn't end up buying a Hero he/she will regret later.

Another suggestion: Soul Stone Trading. An option that lets you use your own Soul Stones to trade for other ones in the Shops. Let's say you, like most people, wanna buy that sweet Fallen Dominion from the Grand Arena. You have 79 of his Soul Stones, but have like 100 Grand Arena Coins. You could trade Soul Stones of a less desirable Hero or one that you don't like and get that one last Soul Stone to unlock Fallen Dominion.

Yet another suggestion: Auction House and Player Shop. Heck, let's say you don't like X Hero and wanna get rid of him. You can put him in your own Shop for other players to buy. The game would automatically calculates the "Hero Value" based on current gear, enchants, level, skill level and evolution and set up a price, in Coins. Similarly, you can sell other stuff, like Gear (Full or Reels) and Consumables (EXP Potions). That way, if you need that specific piece of gear but you're out of Stamina, you can search other players' shop and buy the stuff you need.

And yet another suggestion: Guild Wars. Much like an Arena, but in a form of event. The Guild Leader and Officer(s) picks a handful of Teams from other players and set them in a fight against other Guilds. Guild Leaders can even pick Teams from other players without their permission and "enlist" them in the fights (the Teams would be the default set by players for Arena). It would work a lot like Grand Arena, but in a much larger scale. Victors would be granted items and Soul Stones, etc. Would work kinda like a Tournament.

You see, this is the kind of thing we need, to spice the game a bit more, to add more excitement, renew gameplay and attract more players.

    More suggestions regarding gameplay mechanics:

Elemental Affinity: give more importance to the Elemental Skills, rather than just being "Oh ok, this is skill is Fire and that is it". Maybe add a special effect for each element, such as:
    - Fire Skills can cause damage over time and/or spread damage from one Hero to another.
    - Ice Skills can inflict slow or freeze (yes, I know there are skills that already have guaranteed rates, but for example, Frost Mage attacks don't do any of that) or apply some sort of debuff (armor reduction or something like that).
    - Lightning Skills can stun opponents more easily and can do chain strikes, with the bolt of lightning jumping from one opponent to another (much like Frost Mage's Ultimate Skill).
Of course, these attributes would be minor and not so powerful, otherwise it would break the game even further. And I don't wanna to pull a Pokémon here. I just wanna see these Types having more significance.

Another idea to give players more Soul Stones: Time Rift - Astral Forge. In this stage players would be able to collect Soul Stones from ANY Heroes (except for Swordmaster, I guess), as well a low chance to instantly summon Heroes.

Suggestion: Team Setups. Players would be able to create and name presets for Teams, and setting them up for a battle with a single click. This would make things much much faster, specially for Arena.

    ::: CHARACTER FEEDBACK :::
This is more a personal feedback regarding the Heroes, though I'll also comment on general aspects that are either already good or could improve, both gameplay and aesthetically speaking (such as inconsistencies regarding design, Sprite X Portrait, names, etc).

    • Shallows Keeper: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Savage One: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. However, I don't think the title "Savage One" matches his appearance. Honestly, when I first read his title on URGameTips, I though he would be some kind of lion/wolf-like beast.
    • Brute: He looks cool, however his sprite doesn't match much his portrait, which is weird. I think "Arsenal" or something similar would fit better his character as a title, but "Brute" is neat.
    • Admiral: One of my favorites. I really like how UCool changed her from male to female, with a very original design.
    • Mountain: Cool design, though his portrait doesn't show his visible nose as seen in the sprite.
    • Warrior Monk: He looks like anything but a "Monk", and he carries a coffin as a weapon! I know he is supposed to look like those Tauren Shamans from WoW that fight using their gigantic totems, but the title "Warrior Monk" is not fitting at all. I had the same problem reading his name before seeing how he looked like.
    • Deathgore: Cool title and design, though his "spikes" look like feathers, which is weird, doesn't match his design. Maybe he'd look cooler as a hedgehog or something.
    • Iron Hoof: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Vanguard Warrior: No comments. He has a very cool design, one of my favorites. However, I really, really hate his Green Skill, being the reason I don't use him at all. It should be much much MUCH stronger since he only uses once in battle and until he comes usually your team is already getting slaughtered, since it's 5x4 until he comes.
    • Death Knight: Some serious inconsistencies there. His portrait and sprite are completely different. The problem is that both look cool, so it's hard to pick which one should be his definitive (I'd pick his portrait, though). The name "Lig" is a bit eh, doesn't sound like a "Death Knight".
    • War Chief: My personal favorite, with his King Leoric inspired design and a voice that sounds like Skelletor from He-Man! The only problem with him is his title, "War Chief". Honestly, when I read that for the first time before seeing how he looked like I thought he'd be some kind of Native American-like warrior.
    • Drunken Master: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Arcane Sapper: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Psychopath: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. The title though, eh, but fine. Reading it sounds like a playable Jason or something.
    • Cleric: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Bear Warrior: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. I'm a fan of his name, Mayor Bär, which holds so much meaning.
    • Soul Hunter: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. I like his chinese counterpart better, though.
    • Lightning Elemental: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Fallen Dominion: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Depths Voice: No comments. She has a cool design and voice.
    • Ember Blade: No comments. He has a cool design and voice, though his chinese counterpart looks better with that samurai-esque fe. But you guys should seriously fix the tooltip of his Ultimate Skill, it's wrong; it triggers when he is about to be killed, negating damage that would be fatal to use his skill as last resource.
    • Cloud Walker: It's Sun Wukong himself! I love it. My favorite hero in the game. You guys should make more mythology-inspired heroes, such as Odin-like character or something.
    • Tusked Storm: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Ferryman: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Death Mage: Her sprite and portrait look a bit different, since she has that hood and mask in the sprite, which kinda hides how pretty she is. In my opinion her sprite should be redone to remove the mask and hood.
    • Old Curse: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. His pupils would look cool if visible on his sprite. Also I think he should be slightly larger. Looks too small for a mighty two-headed dragon.
    • Wandering Spearman: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Vengeance Spirit: No comments. She has a cool design and voice.
    • Frost Mage: No comments. She has a cool design and voice.
    • Lightning Master: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Machinist: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. "Lirune" sounds like a female elvish name, though.
    • Ice Mage: No comments. She has a cool design and voice.
    • Necromancer: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Imperial Executioner: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. Doesn't look very "Imperial", though.
    • Master Mage: No comments. She has a cool design and voice. Her title is too generic, though.
    • Silencer: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. I feel that his title could be a bit more heroic or something. "Silencer" is pretty much what he does, but still.
    • Phoenix: No comments. It has a cool design and voice, though his wings look weirdly attached to his body.
    • Lunar Guardian: No comments. She has a cool design and voice.
    • Emberstar: No comments. She has a cool design and voice. Looks much better than her chinese counterpart.
    • Shadow Shaman: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Succubus: No comments. She has a cool design and voice.
    • Psychic Sword: No comments. She has a cool design and voice, though looks far too similar to Lunar Guardian (maybe they're supposed to be related).
    • Wind Master: No comments. She has a cool design and voice. But UCool should seriously revise those titles! Too many "Master This" or "Something Master".
    • Chaplain: No comments. She has a cool design and voice, but seriously, the size ratio is messed up! Look at the gargantuan size of her head!
    • Shadowleaf: No comments. She has a cool design and voice. I like how her appearance evolved since the launch of the game.
    • Mystic: No comments. He has a cool design and voice.
    • Professional Killer: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. I don't dig that title, though, a bit generic.
    • Rifleman: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. The title is generic, but fitting.
    • Poisoned One: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. His sprite should be reworked to look a bit more like his portrait, which looks so badass. I wish he was a female, though, since he looks a lot like Sindragosa from WoW (not to mention that the name "Rosandrill" sounds very feminine).
    • Sniper: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. Again, generic title, but fitting.
    • Swordmaster: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. Now that is a good use for "Master". I wish his sprite looked as badass as his portrait; his sprite his a kinda of dorky expression.
    • Stormlord: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. However, seriously, why his name is "Clark"? C'mon! It should be something more... Menacing.
    • Hidden Needle: No comments. She has a very cool design and voice. I can't spell her name, but that makes her even more awesome!
    • Disease Bringer: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. His title should be something like "Plaguelord" or "Demonic Warlock" or similar (considering he looks a lot like Gul'dan from WoW, it makes more sense).
    • Ninja Assassin: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. But... Isn't he way too tall? Looks a bit weird.
    • Death Bringer: No comments. He has a cool design and voice. Looks a lot like Hellboy in his sprite, with that smirk!
    • Lightning Spirit: He looks amazing with that Elvis look! My only complaint is that you can't actually hear his guitar during his attacks, which is another problem in Heroes Charge: lack of sound effects! Every attack sounds pretty much the same!
    • Ancient: I AM GROOT! I feel that his artwork could ditch that weird hole in his face that looks a like a nose, would look better without it.

You're making an official suggestion and feedbacks thread in an official suggestion and feedbacks subforum?

    Seems legit.

Eh, I guess I was very specific there. I meant make this the thread to compile all information about suggestions and feedback from other threads, rather than having 182931028 threads that no one looks at. A sticky, if you ask.

    Choice:

The problem: The only choice player really have is selection of the team. No choice of gear, skills, abilities... So every battle ends up depending on chance.

The solution: There are many solutions for this. One solution would be to add more gear. Structure hero gear by type and put atleast 2 different items to choose from.

Another solution that would "twist" the outcome and even make useless heroes better is to give each hero additional "power". Lets call that power attunement.
Each hero can attune to one power (dark, light, earth, fire, water, wind, energy, time,...)
attunement can be changed any time, previous attune is lost
each attune equipped on hero can be "enchanted / upgraded" or combine same type to get better
attunement stone would be like any item.
each attune stone would have one additional skill/spell/ability/resistance/stat
Example: "Enter the battle 3 seconds later" or "Sacrifices himself to kill random opponent hero" or "revives one time" or "Resist stun"...

With something like this, you will give players additional items to collect, more choices for team builds, unexpected battle twists, ... a choice, not just chance.

Change the LOGIN. Too many threads of people who have lost their accounts. Make an easier way when switching devices to do this. Frustrating switching from Android to IOS....

Oh yeah, how about reducing the prices for raids? Your game is awesome! I love it, however I hate running out of energy in 5 minutes. And then waiting 9 hours for it to recharge. It stinks, and I've wasted a lot of money on the game so far because I have a very addictive personality. Can't get enough of your game! So now I am VIP lvl 7, and it just takes forever to level up 1 char, not alone 6 or 12 etc. Why must some apps be all for the money?

I'd second the idea about providing multiple item options for each slot. Maybe even throw in one morph effect slot for each character. Ex: brutalizer(chance on attack to mini-stun), manta Style (small energy drain on attack), spellshards (reduced cool down on auto-cast skills, etc.

I will like to see a way in which one can gift monthly cards to other players. That would be cool especially for guilds. Sure this could make them more money.

    I't all about the money!

It's just how mobile gaming industry works these days... Sadly new games give burst of money, than they slowly fade away just because it's easier to create another crap game for people to spend money on, than to create and maintain one... So most of the games are created in a way that needs almost no further development, but simply few new items and corrections that gives players the feeling that the game is alive and growing.

I wish to be wrong here but most of these companies don't care, don't listen and don't wont to have anything to do with players.. So with all this in mind, I'm not surprised that items to gear up one hero 70+ costs more than whole real life outfit. But here, they fail to understand, that majority of players are not reach people, that can afford spending $50 for item, that gets consumed on hero promotion. Not to mention, there's not even a single choice to make here... not even a color for the shoes. Ucool is no different in mobile gaming industry. They're following the same road, making the same mistakes... As title says....

But but... It's not just them. We players fail in many things to... Instead of supporting ideas, voting, evolving the good suggestions, we criticize, complain and curse just about everything... and tbh, that's not exactly the right way to achieve anything.

There are many great suggestions an the forums. But we need to show our support and ucool need to participate in it to. Maby some day, when enaugh people have shown interest and support, they will make that "step" and start developing fun, innovative and affordable games.
