Is Amazon PPC management software worth the cost?

Does anyone here use one of the many Amazon PPC management tools to run their advertising campaigns? Are they worth the cost and investment in training?

I manage my own campaigns manually and find it really frustrating. My main problem is that most of the keywords I track are not gaining enough clicks during the 60-day reporting window to make them applicable. So, to see if a particular keyword is profitable, I have to combine several reporting tables - for example, the January/February table, the March/April table, and the May/June table. Just working with report tables is a huge pain in the ass, but having to merge them together takes it to the next level.

I'm also annoyed by the keyword rate adjustments. For example, if a keyword is not profitable at $1.25 and I lower it to $0.95, I need to remember the date the change was made so I can compare the ACoS before and after. Again, this can be tracked in a spreadsheet, but it complicates the task.

I thought about writing my own command line tool that uses Amazon's advertising API, but decided I needed to look at existing tools first. Is there anything that will automate some of these entries and make the process less tedious?
