Lightbulb Defending general AI needs help

Ever since Spartacus was released ppl have been using his spells to beat everyone's defenses before launching troops. No problem, but the defending general doesn't start casting his spells until troops are launched. So if you have Maximus (with healing) set to defend he should be able to heal the damage caused by Sparticus BEFORE troops get launched. Plus, he'll heal a set of walls while the defense is getting hammered elsewhere.
Defending general's AI needs some serious help. It sucks.

I agree. Also, people have said that when Maximus is defending the attacker gets more gold and goods than they should.

Mysoteric and voterx130 thanks for the feedback. We’ll check these 3 issues you guys reported and if confirmed they’re glitches, we’ll fix them as soon as we can.

I guess I might as well add, while we're on the subject of generals, that the noises and voices of the generals are really dumb. Seriously? Spartacus sounds like a caveman with a headcold - says the STUPIDEST things ever, in a voice that grates the nerves.

I think the best solution would be to reduce the timer from 4 minutes down to 2 minutes. 2 minutes is more than enough time to deploy troops & clear 100% of a city or clear as much of it as you can. It would also not give players to sit there using the magic for 2 - 3 minutes destroying as much as they can. They would have to use it while attacking, which should be the purpose of the magic abilities.

Those spells from Spartcus i think overwelming. I agree with the problem. Make the game more random , you cant do a shith.

This happens when he heals the gold/goods bins/farms/mines as they are being attacked. Most peoples alts have Maximus set up defending of this reason. If Maximus would start healing as soon as Spartacus used his first spell, it would drastically reduce Spartacus ability to wipe peoples defenses.

Why not set the time of the attack based on the general? Since Spartacus has so many powers when you use him you would only have two minutes to clear a city. But if you were using Maximus you would have the full timer?

Offsets some of the powers and abilities of the generals.

There is still the glitch of troops appearing inside the walls as well.
also at what level will Cleopatra begin learning spells?

... The original point of my post is not that Spartacus is too strong, or that the timer needs to be shorter. It's simply that the defending general needs to be able to start using his/her spells when the battle begins, instead of waiting for when troops launch. AND that in the defending general's AI (when and where it's best to cast a spell) needs serious help. If Maximus could use his healing spell as soon as Spartacus started casting fireballs the two would counter nicely, making the battle MUCH more interesting.

The troop stuck is a known issue and we’ve been on it for some times. As for spells of Cleopatra we still need little more time to implement.
