OP, if you are a magic stone chest user, maybe try to get a DM instead of DK for crusades.
DM can't replace DK in Crusade because of her position. DK is a tank, he can protect the whole team while DM can only survive by herself.

To @Maximus: Game developer is making business, if you pay enough you could have 'almost everything' you want, in this case I think is $1000+.

How he can pay ? It's another story....

    Tremain,

In crusade, the idea is to take little damage or no damage at all and blast enemy to death the fastest way possible. Lunar and Old Curse doesnt target back/mid too much. Need heroes that can target mid / back lane fast. Because as you level up more, the tanks are seriously very tanky.

I have used different setups before :

    1) Mystic, Chaplain, Succubus, Lightning Master/Windmaster, Tusked Storm. (mid lane hero)

In this setup there is no tank but I use Tusked Storm to get his ulti which is similar to Commando buff. I will use Tusked Ulti to increase physical and magical dmg, then I cast my Mystic ulti, wait for it to discharge. Once discharged, I will press Chaplain heal to heal my heroes.. and then simultaneously press Succubus and Lightning Master/Windsmaster ulti. The enemy should have only 1 or 2 heroes left alive which is easy picking and my heroes should have close to full hp from Chaplain heal.

    2) DK, Chaplain, Windmaster, Old Curse, Mystic
Old Curse to freeze enemy whilst mystic cast and charge his ulti, once discharged, Windmaster will follow up with ulti. By then my DK would have half HP, but he still has his ulti to be used. If my other heroes have been damaged, I would cast Chaplain ulti to heal all and then finish the enemy heroes. Else I would just cast DK ulti to heal himself.

    3) Warchief, Arcane Sapper, Shadow leaves, Mystic, Chaplain
This is also an ok setup to hit enemies in mid and back lane. U will need Mystic to boost Chaplains heal for Arcane Sapper and WarChief.

    4) DK, Death Mage, Mystic, Windrunner, Chaplain / Death Mage, Mystic, Windrunner, Chaplain, Commando (DM to tank)
My best team so far, Windrunner to ulti first, Death Mage to follow up, Mystic charges and DK to ulti when needed. And DM to ulti again if needed.

I find in crusade these days, since I dont like casualties, I use Mystic more than Commando to increase Chaplain Healing. As I like to heal the team most probably in the middle of battle where commandos buff has run out. If I intend to heal from beginning then Commando is more useful.

    Hopefully above helps.

Perhaps it is you who should be using your brain. You may or may not be aware that crusade difficulty is partially linked to your top 5 heroes' attack power. My team's currently above 13,000. And yours? My team level is 48, and I'm facing level 59's with full purples with attack powers 1000 - 2000 more than mine and still beating them. How about you?

If you had bothered to read you would've seen that I had been clearing crusade effortlessly for over a month now, everyday, twice a day, to the point where I didn't even have to be strategic about my ulti executions. I literally afk'd up to Stage 10.

With a condescending remark like that, you deserve to be ridiculed. Educate yourself before giving advice to others.

Back on topic: Is there an optimal level between Purple and Purple +1 at which crusade difficultly tapers off; that is, where your team's increased damage more than compensates for enemy team's increase in power?

    Anyone's input is welcome!

This problem should not be solved by upgrading your army, such problem should be solved by a post in [In-game issue] forum, no matter how strong is your army, ucool should not let players fighting > 10+ level enemies.

I believe once you hit all purple, it should be alot easier. that should be level 54. Then you get to enjoy till like lvl 60.. where the next full transition is 64

To All: chill out, no need for insults here. Players can pay more or less as he/she desires. We are all after the same goal, which is to play and enjoy

@Exo: you are at lv 48? And yes always promote ur heroes. Yea it may make ur crus harder by a lil but dont forget the benefits. I get 1 xtra skill for every purple hero u own, also, the big jump increases their hp etc by quite a bit because of the rank from blue>purple. Also, no matter what u do, u cant escape bcus crusade takes ur lvl into account too. U are lv 48. Purple is at 51-53. There is no way u can escape from the fate that u are meeting purple enemies. And since u cant escape, but to face them, and if u urself dont make ur team pirple, u are losing out not only in hp/atk.. but that extra 1 skill too. And if u arent cloee to promoting , get ur lvls up asap bcus u will need the purple sooner or later.

@maximus: nah i dont think he is a cheater. He probably was lost in the game and decided to stay low and camp for crusade (which explains the 20mill gold and note, he says he played for 1month and not eve lv 50.. for standard players, 1 week is prolly all u need for 50.) So nah he isnt a cheater. Camping for 1 month of course he gonna have more heroes than a normal 48 player so no biggie.

Well to be fair, no normal lv 48 has 4-5* and he has so many of them. The system must have mistaken and paired him with lv 59.. as its more likely that he is lv 55+ than 48.

Well patience is virtue right? And to answer your question, yeah level 48. I always tell my guildies not to level too fast; take it slow and farm the stones for your favourite hero, and then a few million gold.

Here is a screenshot of the team I faced at Stage 11.

    Attachment 1931

    Came out a little blurry. Team Level 61: Lightning Master ** (lvl 57) - Wind Master *** (lvl 61) - War Chief ** (lvl 60) - Lunar Guardian *** (lvl 55) - Commando *** (lvl 58)

Is this normal? WTH! My team level is 48... two of those heroes are 13 levels higher. THIRTEEN! LMAO! These are the kinds of teams I face everday from Stage 10 onwards. All 15 heroes got wiped at Stage 14. Again. Frankly, I'm surprised I even get that far with a team at level 48. Thank god for Iron Hoof + Drunken Master ... Most counsellors (cause that's what you knowledgeable folk are to me) have said that my crusades will get easier once I hit level 53-54 and can benefit from all the purple boosts to atk and health and skills. The only reason I'm hesitant is because there's no going back once I get there. Any final thoughts guys? I'd like to start doing my 15/15 runs twice a day again. Don't get me wrong, I love the challenge, but this is overkill right here.
