Cappuccinomans 1-50 Guide For New Players [Spoiler]

Hello, I need some help creating setups with existing characters and advices, who is more important to level up skills and evolve first.
I have now:
Standart characters with 1 star
Commando 2 star
Mystic 1 star
Cleric 1 star
Shallows 1 star
Machinist 1 star
Killer 3 star
Warrior Monk 3 star
All them are blue +1 and 40 lvl.

You should stick with Warrior Monk as your main tank that you will level up, but it might be pretty slow getting him past 3 stars. It's good to have a 3 star tank early though. He can take you pretty far as the rest of your team levels up. Shallows is a little easier to get soul stones for, so he should probably be your secondary tank that you work on and farm soul shards for...Until you have a Death Knight at your disposal, you are going to need multiple tanks that you can use to get you deep into the crusade rounds.

Like everyone always says, Commando is a definite must have, so keep him max leveled. You should also be working on Leaves and Chaplain (chaplain mostly for crusades). I don't really like killer myself, but that's up to you. Emberstar and Machinist are pretty viable heroes as well, but it all comes down to whether or not you can get soul stones for the heroes you are focusing on. A 1 or 2 star hero is going to get owned once you get your team level into the 50s and its hard to farm soul stones if they are only available in Epic Campaigns, so you want to start building your team right now that you can reasonably get to 4-5 stars.

sort of a reference to clash of clans, if I leveled my heroes and team level but didn't level their skills up equally ( level 36 heroes with most skills being between 10-20) did I "rush" ? and am i in a bad situation to catch up? What should I do about that? it costs a lot of gold and a lot of logging in to use points.
Also, i got some cool heroes in a chest but they weren't listed as being good even though they are higher stars. I got Brute 3* and Bear Warrior 3*. also Pilot 2* and Rifleman 2*. should I focus on these? I've been using my brute, bear warrior, Pilot, Leaves, and commando. but i have emberstar, mystic, chaplain. i also have an unpromoted shallows keeper i just got who is lvl 36 but no promotions yet, the other heroes that i mentioned are blue and blue+1. Stick with Brute, you can get soul stones in the Guild shop, and he is a great tank. Bear Warrior is good as well, but I don't know how easy it will be to get him past 3 stars. You'll also want to max out commando, Leaves and Chaplain. Pilot is probably another good one since you already have him at 2 stars and you can farm soul stones for him from Crusades.

I don't know much about rifleman, but I wouldn't worry too much about him, emberstar, mystic or sniper for right now. They might be good heroes, but you seem to have a pretty good pool to work on without trying to juggle to many heroes. Don't make the mistake I did and try to level everyone all the time, it ends up spreading you out too thin in the future. This game isn't really designed to let you use more than 7-8 heroes past level 50 without spending some legit $$, so you might as well start focusing your attention early on.

I'm a new player and I recently started on a new server and I'm currently lvl 38 using
Deathknight (yes i was lucky )
Lightning Elemental
Emberstar
Chaplain
Commando
(all blue +1 and 1 item missing due to level requirement).

My other heroes are the other starters plus Ice Mage, Mountain, Sniper, Machinist

I never hear of anybody using Emberstar, but she is doing tons of damage in my battles. Lightning Elementals Ultimate hits like a truck. I almost cleared chapter 6 in the campaign, only missing the last 2 stages which are lvl 50 and in elite mode I'm also at the lvl 50 stage in chapter 6.

I cleared 15/15 crusade today (my 3rd or 4th crusade overall) and my next goal is getting Old Curse(5/30 souls) from the Arena, my ranking is hovering around 1000-1300.


So i got some questions now:

When do Emberstar and Lightning Elemental become "bad" compared to other options? I really feel they are super strong for me right now since i could clear campaign stages 11 levels above me. Or is that normal and Old Curse, Lunar Guardian, Succubus and the likes are even more op than i think? Would my Ice Mage be better than one of them right now if i leveled and equipped her?

What should i do with my crusade points? I'm debating to get Commando to 2 stars because i could reach that in 3 days. I'm also tempted to get Lightning Elemental to 4 stars, but it would take 6 times as long and I'm afraid he has to be replaced once i unlock better heroes. Or should i get Wind Master even though I'm not sure if I want to use her?

Emberstar is probably my favourite starting hero even though you stop using her between 35-75 (I see some 80's run a team for her). It's largely because her ultimate or activation skill is single target. When you get good AoE heroes like Old Curse, Wind Master, Succubus for example you can go into the crusade and pop Succubus to get them all 50% and then Wind master ultimate finishes them all and restores to 100% energy, because succubus has very high mana regen she will also go to full mana. You can just use this cycle to clear all 15 stages very very fast. Whereas with Emberstar it's not so quick. As for arena she just sucks... and her purple skill is also very bad until max level. You will start to notice this once you get more experience.

Lightning Elemental is bad right away, it's just less bad than Admiral and some 1 stars heroes. I think every hero in the game at 3* beats Lightning Elemental. His GS (2nd ability) and BS (third ability) just suck. His activation skill is nice but only 1/3 skills being good doesn't make him a viable hero. It also sucks that he is front line so he takes cleave damage from enemy tanks/mid heroes. The only use I've found for him is to have him be a early tank (1-40~) since he is 3 star and will have better stats than most 1-2 star tanks. It will also help him get energy for his ultimate (activation skill) taking damage.

To summarize those 2: They work great early and start to fall off as you get better heroes. Also their purple skills suck until you max it, making them even more crappy mid-game.

As for your other heroes I think you could only improve your crusade team by changing Emberstar for Lightning Master.

For arena it is very valuable having archers that do dazing shot/slow/silence. I would recommend with your heroes running: Death Knight, Lightning Elemental, Commando, Leaves Shadow, + 1 of these 3; Ice Mage, Emberstar or Lightning Master.

To break those 3 options down a bit further here is more detail:
Lightning Master - Early Purple (50), Good AoE, Good Skills, Early Soulstone Stages - (I would recommend this most**)
Emberstar - Good AoE Skill, meh Activation Skill, bad purple skill - I don't recommend, but you already skilled this so it's fine if you keep it till you get better (Old Curse, Succubus, Wind Master)
Ice Mage - A worse version of Old Curse, but it comes 2 star* and cc skills are nice, bad purple skill - I don't recommend this unless you have a bunch of soulstones and can push to make it 3 star.

At level 50~ if you've been doing 15/15 crusade you will end up with lots of exp pots/gold to spend upgrading multiple extra heroes and you can test out switching Lightning Elemental out for one of them as well. Hopefully by then you'll have stones to make them all atleast 2star or higher.

With Crusade points keep buying commando to 4 star, then if you haven't unlocked other heroes you can choose getting another hero or pushing 5 star. I wouldn't bother with any other options though until Commando is atleast 4 star. By then you'll have a better idea of what you need.

I doubt i will get any hero to purple anytime soon (the top arena players don't even have a purple hero on my server yet )

My crusade today was super hard compared to yesterday and i got wiped out at stage 12. Not much changed in my setup except i got a lot more skill levels on my guys because of the crusade bug compensation.


Believe it or not, but i got Old Curse from my free golden chest today and I'm in the process of equipping him and leveling his skills

What should i do with my arena points now though? Get Old Curse or Deathknight to 4 stars or is Drunken Master a really cool tank that would be better than Deathknight in Arena? What about the Poisoned One or the Ferryman?
I have a feeling that Succubus is super far away because it will take a long time to even be able to receive Guild Points.

Woah, gratz on Old Curse!

I think you should get Old Curse to atleast 3-4 stars. I haven't tested Drunken Master at late game so that is a question for another thread.

I'm actually still sitting on my guild points because it takes a long time to save them up. I haven't decided what to get, but probably Lunar Guardian.

Edit: I recommend you keep saving Guild Points until you have a ton then choose what to get

Ok here is my " help me " reply to your post.
First Arena - OFFENSE - purple Com, purple LG, purple LM, blue 2 AS and blue 2 WC. All are max lvl. All blue items are max enchant. At least 2 skills on all are max. Works great until I get a brute, a bear or a succubus. Then I just get creamed. DEFENSE- same . Swap AS for Chappy.

Crusade- My #1 team is LG purple, Comm purple, SIL blue 2 lvl 48, Cleric blue 2 lvl 48, LM purple, Leaves blue 2 lvl 52. I try to hire a merc DK or Brute and feather in my Adm., SK and WC. All 3 blue 2 max lvl.

Raid team - LG purple, LM purple, Comm purple, WC blue 2 and Leaves blue 2.

And as a newbie,I found many difficulties in game.. First one is the lack of hero problem.. As my hobby is collecting cards,I just want many heroes,but I got only one from gold chest,and that's Brute(I got hero 3 times,actually but the other two times are admiral and leaves).. So,I only got Brute,Chaplain,Leaves,Machinist(from soul stones),Arcane Sapper,LM,Lavaster(forgot the name,but Lina from Dota),Admiral.. I'm currently lvl 36 and only 120 gems in hand.. can only do 8/15 crusade.. Just bought 5 pieces of OC from arena and 5 of Commander from crusade.. What should I do,which heroes I should focus on,which skills to upgrade and how to use gems wisely.. Plz,suggest me.. Thanks a lot

I don't know if you read my guide, but trying to do 15/15 crusade without Chaplain is silly in my opinion. You should have Chaplain in every crusade level. Also you spent a lot of gold and items advancing heroes you won't use, I'm guessing your top 5 aren't max skills because of this. You need to focus more purely on 5-6 and not all your heroes. Your line up is fine if you sub out Emberstar for Chaplain. (Warrior Monk, Lightning Master, Ice Mage, Commando, Chaplain).

Now a problem that I see from at least the last 3-4 people asking advice, if you level up and skill up all your heroes the game will match you against opponents based on your best 5. For instance in your case you have a 3 star soulhunter, 3 star warrior monk, 2 star savage one, 2 star cleric and 2 star admiral. You will never do crusade with those 5 heroes all at once, but the game will match you against stronger opponents because those heroes you've upgraded are high power level. So now any time you use your 1-2 star heroes in crusade you will feel much weaker than your opponents.
