First, if you are still buying resources if your TH is past about level 4, well, I can't help you much and you pretty much deserve the low return for you gems, but, since you did not look close enough to figure out the difference, I will try 1 time to explain...

The "treasures", are a low return, but also are limited on options to a percentage of your storage, so as you go up in storage, the minimum number of gems you can spend for resource goes up. You may need 10k to finish off a build, but you don't get that option, your lowest purchase may be for 50 gems, not 1. The "Special" is a lower amount of resource per gem, but with smaller minimum gems spent, at least for players further along in the game.

2nd, the purchases in treasures go straight into storage, thus can be plunders. Purchases in special go into items, thus are secure until you need them, and thus are a lower return in exchange for that protection.

with all due respect, I call bullshit on your post, because all we had was "treasures" before the "items" was put in place, if you want protection that should be by choice and not mandated
into the game, its just another way for the company to make money in restrictions in changing the rules after you spent monies trying to achieve a higher level.

so by what you are saying is, that it is reasonable to charge 210,000 coins for protection; well my friend you must have a free ride here because I think very few will agreed with that outcome. I certainly
could put 210,000 coins to better use.

No, my friend, I am saying nothing of the sort, and I apologize for my inability to articulate in a way that you or your alliance-mate can understand. As stated, I was reluctant to even attempt as I anticipated the failure to communicate prior to typing.

At no time did I state that the pay-out was fair, to the contrary, I stated in a manner I thought was clear that the two exchange rates were low, and lower. Each person is entitled to play according to their want as long as it is within the rules of the game, and that extends to the ability to buy things for won/earned gems, or to just purchase those gems. Others, earn items via gameplay. I, in my manner of playing find the purchase price for resources asinine, and would pay either the treasure cost of 210k resources, nor the special cost of the same, when I can collect that trivial amount in minutes via gameplay. My approach to the game is such that if players feel the need to buy such things rather than earn them, well, they deserve to be ripped off, but that is just my opinion.

Yeah, because spending gems on ressources is totally "ripping evony off". [/sarcasm]

The goods in the "special" section are more versatile as they come in smaller quantities, but saving the gems until you need ressources eliminates the "can't be plundered" advantage. It's quite pointless to buy ressources from the "special" tab. They are handy results of the casino, however.
