    Requirement :
    1) Own a death Knight and hire a death knight
    2) At least 5 dps heroes
    3) Best if you can have another 3-4 good tanks.
This two death knight tip makes me really sad I went for Old Curse after halfway completing my DK. Double DK might make the way I play Crusade totally different.

Godz from guild (which incidentally is the most fun guild) has been happily hiring him out to me and spending the money I'm giving him to level his DK properly.

Anyway, here's my tactic for Crusade, I'm level 56 on Shaman server and usually ends up level 40-60 in my server. My crusade fighting heroes are all at purple upgrades and I generally meet enemy teams with at least 2-4 purple heroes.

I run my team this way - Commando, Leaves Shadow, Old Curse, Chaplain, Death Knight (hired).

What usually happens after the first fight is that I try to avoid using all the heroes' ultis except for the chaplain which I'll use near the end.

At all the subsequent fights, I'll cast Old Curse to freeze the entire team and just rain AOE damage from Commando and OC. Leaves Shadow is there just to add bonus damage on top of the Commando bonus. By the time the freeze ends, there will just be a couple of badly wounded heroes which barely gets the DK blooded due to his ulti shield covering.

Usually the AOE from OC kills and he always starts with a full MP bar. The rest of the heroes would usually be full or almost ful. Rinse and repeat until fight 13 through 15.

Fight 13 through 15 really depends on how big your bench of heroes are. Sometimes it takes like 10+ heroes dying to get past even just one fight.

For fight 13 and 14, if I see a fight that is unlikely the main team will win without losing any heroes, I'll rather send 5 others just to kill one and weaken the rest before sending the main team in for the kill. Watch the fight very carefully to confirm that the dangerous Ultis are already used, if not just send a patsy to "absorb" the ultis.

For fight 15, I just throw in my best surviving team, hoping they cause as much havok as possible on the other team (again watching out if a patsy run has to be done). And then just keep throwing in the next best team. Don't ever forget the patsy run. I've seen my entire team of level 47-50 heroes massacred by a half dead Lvl 56 Windrunner with a single Gale Force shot.

    Thanks for sharing.

Well personally now for me, since round 1 to 3 is so easy, I just use it to charge up power on all my dps heroes and tanks. Dont even need to use Death Knight or Chaplain yet. Then round 4, I start with death knight, chaplain, commando and 2 dps. I find this helps later in stage 14/15, as I will send in the fully charged 2nd team to blast the "shit" out of them. (Holding on till last moment before all 5 heroes ulti) Usually taking 2 with me (if lucky 3). Then main cavalry arrives with a DK on full energy. But it only works for 1 round. haha..

I miss the good old lvl 30++

Well that is if you are still not good with crusade.

With 2 Death Knights you are virtually guaranteed 12/15. At any levels.

I run my heroes 3 levels below my team level and they do fine. Although nowadays getting 15/15 is tougher as Im in the bracket where purple heroes pawn me hard and I dont have purple yet.

Hey dont just hire the first dk you see.

Go to your guild and in mercenaries>>> All inspect and make sure the DK you are hiring is enchanted and with decent or max skills level!!!

yes i did, his 1st 3 skills are maxed to his level, and he enchanted every item on it. only the purple skill is lvl 2 or smtg. so its pretty decent, or so i thought.
the next DK in guild is only lvl 50.

Hello everybody. I am a level 56 non-vip who had failed only one or two full crusades in the last 12 days. From my experience I can tell that this strategy works very well as I have completed 2 full crusades with this line-up: Dk(hired), Chaplain, Commando, Old Curse, Vengeance Spirit/LElemental before reaching purple and at the border of blue and purple which in my opinion is the thoughest period for crusade. What you have to consider when crusading is stopping the enemy from casting their "passive" skills and locking them or bursting them, ensuring they don't use ultimates. For those who didn`t observe, using ultimates such as Starfall or Powershot can cancel passive spells of opponents(gskill blueskill). Crusade finishing is a lot about execution and ultimates should not be spammed as if an arena auto battle but kept to prevent damage, deal damage and lock enemies at key points. If you still did not know crusade battles are reset if closing the application while still in the battle, which means that if you feel you didn't execute your plan succesfully or one hero died you can reset the battle and try again with less casualty this time. Another advice that is very important: if your line-up already has 2-3 tanks upgraded and up to your level you can safely hire Death mage instead of Dk. Death mage deals HUGE amounts of damage very fast and gets recharged with hp and energy the next level due to her ultimate(guaranteed ultimate every round at the beginning + silence + wave dmg hits them all = free win). Last 3 days I completed full crusades in less than 5 minutes with DM. However I saw she is kind of rare... To sum it up: Credits to OP for thread, I used this strategy and works very well. Time your ultimates and bring some cc along. Good luck!

Heya endless, thanks for sharing. Guess this is good. More types of heroes for ppl to use if they/their guild dont have a DK.

I want to test out the Death Mage above that you use. Does it mean charge up energy, ulti at beginnig and keep energy/use ulti again? What other tank to run with it or just use it as 1 tank? A team composition for Death Mage would be good so that readers would know what worked. Thanks alot!.

Once you reply I'll edit the first page

Death Knight is hands down the most important hero for crusade as he preserves the entire team (when supported by the Chaplain).

I completely regret getting my Old Curse as I was advised that the OC is dominating the arena as OC's role can be replaced by someone less competent like Ice Mage or Veng Spirit but DK is absolutely critical for crusades.

I'll swap my 3* fully levelled and fully skilled OC for a 2* lvl 1 DK in an eyeblink right now if it was possible.

    Death Mage for PURPLE Crusade

Death Mage is a mid-line hero.
1)Green skill is wave(deals HUGE damage to all lines).
2)Blue skill is silence(all lines silenced).
    3)Purple skill increases magic power.
4)The ultimate makes some ghosts that deal damage for a period of time and then they return to Death Mage healing her for the damage done. THIS DAMAGE IS SO BIG IT RECHARGES HER LIFE FULLY AND SHE USUALLY GETS LAST HIT. SHE ALSO HAS VERY HIGH ENERGY REGEN => ULTIMATE EVERY WAVE OF ENEMIES.
I use these strategies depending what enemies I am facing/how fast I want to finish:
    1) Balanced
    A) Front: Brute/LElemental/Warchief. The tank doesn't even matter because the enemies die too fast. They don't damage you at all or very little. Use whatever tank you have for first wave to charge your heroes energy.
    B) Mid: Death Mage, Old Curse.
    C) Back: Commando, Chaplain.
Old Curse will be the first cc at the beginning of the battle with Ice path. After that Death Mage silences the opponents with Blueskill.
Commando is a must to speed up your Death Mage and Chaplain is for enemy aoe dmg(in case they get to dmg you).
    2) Agressive
    A) Front: Nobody
    B) Mid: Death Mage, Old Curse, Vengeance Spirit.
    C) Commando, Windmaster/Chaplain/Leaves Shadows.
The ideea behind this is to control the battle from start to end and kill the enemy before he can react. I start with Vengeance's stone form ultimate right at the beginning, continue with ice path so that ice cube comes right after. Silence or powershot or both right after ensuring the end of battle. That is all the time you need for Death Mage to deal TONS of damage.
    ! TO HAVE A COMPARISON:
    -Old Curse 3*: 10k dmg.
    -Death Mage 2*:35-45k dmg.

I wrote here what heroes I use and it works perfectly everyday 15/15. Before trying her out as a lucky guess I used Dk strategy presented in this thread and the action stopping-trick and retry trick, but that took longer at PURPLE(1-2 hours for 15/15). Now I get it done in 5 minutes. At BLUE Dk-Chaplain might be better than Death Mage.
Feel free to try out with other heroes as well, but take notice to try and stick to the main heroes: Chaplain, Commando, Death Mage. The other two can be AOE Damage/CC+ Tank. I do not recommend the agressive strategy unless you have the exact same heroes or already found a chain-control strategy. Good luck!

interesting strategy. can u share with us too, how to get a death mage apart from opening gold chests?
There's no location for its soul stone drops, not in crusade, guild or arena shops too.
