If you had the map shield on people can still attack you from match. Same vice versa.

I think your able to apply both at the same time to stop all attacks not sure on this though as I haven't bought any.
Evony made shields to aid the cheaters. So far the only people I see using shields are those who aren't playing a fair game. They shield an alt city and place it near the HC or Throne city.Originally Posted by <ama>Insolence

Disagreed. I used shields when I was saving for the LVL 10 TH upgrade.
I've seen a lot of folk shielding up when under long term siege.
But something does need to be done to remove the exploit.

Did you get attacked with Cleopatra? Or maybe the troops were just out of range (or too close for the catapult)?
maybe its because he attacked you, you bought the shield a Little Moment later and then theone who atttacked you were already in battlescreen
