Do items add stats to heros for each promotion you do?

Just started today and was wonder does it matter which items I give my hero when I promote him/her? Like should I try give all blues etc to gain extra stats?

Of course. When you equipped your item, it will just plus your stats. But when you promote your hero, it will be bind and stats will be permanent.

DEFINETLY NO!!! We just tested it on lvl 35 comando blue and one blue +....

my brother didnt enhanced them at all and i enhanced EVERY!!!! item i could enhance... for the moment it gives a better value BUT after promiting the stats where EXACTLY the same... so an incrideble waste of money for me so far....
