That's a Lot of Gold: Cost of Leveling Skills ONE-MILLION DOLLARS by Level 40

So I finally collected enough stones to unlock a Death Knight and figured I'd do some calculations. First off, collecting stones is freaking expensive. Once I got the 80 stones needed it cost me $200,000 to unlock him. I'm glad I saved up $1.75 million today! Anyway, here are the costs to get all skills up to level 50.

Level 10: $36,200 (2 skills)

Level 20: $171,200

Level 30: $514,200

Level 40: $1,016,700 (3 skills)

Level 50: $1,681,200

And then things get a ton more expensive a whole lot quicker because you'll unlock the 4th skill. The 1st and 2nd skills start at 100 gold, then go to 500, and then increase by 500 for each point. The 3rd skill starts at 10,000 and goes up 500 each point. But once you reach paying 20,000 gold for a skill point (around level 40 for skills 1 and 2, and level 20 for skill 3), then it goes up 1000 for each point. The 4th skill starts at 20,000 gold and goes up 1,000 for each point.

Note that with my savings, I won't even be able to max my Death Knight to 50 today (since I had to pay $200,000 to summon him in the first place). Now, imagine spending that much and finding out you don't really like someone :*(

crusade fights

to say an average advance= 350k + 75k midas touch (1 x 10 jewels and 2 x 20 jewels (jewels gotten out of the arena daily))

Thats 425k + (+/-) 30k loot from instances + 150k each second day from time rift

aprox 520k in a daily basis, that is without being VIP

I dont think giold its unbalances, just a mather of strategy what do u invest in

Yeah, you're right. If only one could rent strong Brute or DK in Guild; or he himself pay a lot, otherwise no way to clear Crusade.

I think ucool just 'invent a new way for Crusade', that the opponent is at 2 or 3 level above my team, but he got only ... 4 heroes (1 is removed). I believe that one must have 5 heroes in Arena team, he is not such stupid to set his team with only 4 to defend his position (if he really want to lose his position, set a team of 1 instead). That's funny.

Another way is a team with mix levels, for example: 50,40,50,50,36. I'm not sure if those 40,36 is the original one or just another invention from ucool, look funny.

However his 3rd skill only upgrade to 30 something and his 4th skill only upgrade to 10 something. Can't upgrade to 50 skill points each

I don't know if I missing something or not...but I can finish all crusade's 15-stage. It's been 3 days since I found this glitch. I rent a mercenary and doing crusade and complete stage as ususal. In some stage my team got wiped out, I back to main menu, I go to last stage and my team has full recovered. If I died, I do over and over again until I complete crusade.

Is that sounds bug to you guys?

are you kidding? 3th and 4th skill have initial high skill level from start, thats why they cost that much. I didnt undestand point of this topic either, just to QQ that you are poor?

Yeah, but you can't upgrade any skills to you level as you wish. Only 1st and 2nd skill allow you to do so; depend on heroes, but 3rd skill cap often your level - 20 (for example Leaves Shadow and Lightning master) ; and 4th skill, I don't know, maybe 1 point / 5 level.

That's some QQ'ing? I haven't been too poor, which is why my top 5 guys all have max skills at level 54. It's more that it becomes very difficult to "try something new" knowing that building up a guy to test out is going to cost that much. If I want to bring a new guy into my line-up it's going to cost me over 2 million gold... and that doesn't count getting items. That makes switching line-ups a bit dangerous.

If I finally save up enough to get some character I've always wanted, I'd better have a bank account that is overflowing. I'm trying to level a WC right now. If I got a Swordmaster drop from Crusade, it'd take over a week before I could use them (and only if my top team suffered).

I had no idea how much it costs to upgrade skills from level 1 to level X so it was nice of the OP to have not only done the calculations but also shared them with the forum...

Um... sure. If the point is to be able to develop more than 5 different heroes.

How many heroes do you have at all max skill levels? I think there are a lot of people with zero, and I doubt there are many people with more than 5 at max level.

6 at max (level 47). I think if it was cheap to max your heroes it would be bad in long perspective. There isnt any other good gold sink outside spending it on hero upgrade, and farming few days for this upgrade is one of the things what would keep people in the game. If you have gold for every hero its just usless resourse and all can have max out their heroes. And now wise spend of gold is part of your skill - you choice what hero and what skill should be max first so you will have an edge over your opponent who choose not as good as you.
