There are a lot of starter 1 star heroes:
Which of them are worth investing in for later stages of the game?

Good question - I want to know that too![]()
In my humble opinion, 1. Leaves Star & 2. Emberstar are what I feel should be worth investing in the later stages of the game.
1. Leaves Star - Silence is a really powerful skill that can help you survive in Arena's and Campaigns. Her arrow rain is physical and damages units at the back (non-tank units)
2. Emberstar - Has a really strong nuke (Emberstorm), Her second skill (The Crucible) is a good AOE skill that can crit for crazy amounts of AOE damage. She has a mini-stun skill which both damages and stuns enemy units (as her 3rd skill). Coupled with her 4th skill, the increased crit rate would make her undeniably the strongest single target spell caster, which is also one of the basic heroes you get in the game
Wouldn't focus too much on Admiral as her HP pool is really low for a tank, something a tank should definitely not be lacking. Chaplain is a good investment, but as you progress further in the game, you'll find that maximizing your DPS and missing out on the heals, is one of the stronger strategies to go further in the game. Furthermore, cleric scales better late game as his spells are more damage mitigating, chaplains just heals, but does not mitigate.
Hope this helps!
Feel free to drop me a PM if you have any questions

I would definitely think shadow leaves is a viable investment
Sorry man, but I really laughed for this. I was confused from the start who the hell Leaves Star is. LOL. Her name is now Shadow Leaf. But yes, SL is one of the most versatile heroes up to endgame. Invest on her
Emberstar's fourth skill is not increased magic crit but additional energy gain per physical hit. Somehow correct that she gains magic crit along the way. Her single target magic damage is second to Imperial Executioner or Machinist.
Man, Admiral has the highest HP in-game when she gets her legendary skill. Though I'm still having some doubts about her endgame utility. I'll experiment later when I get her orange skill
Some 1star heroes worth investing in my perspective:
1.Arcane Sapper
2.Tusked Storm
3.Machinist
4.Commando
5.Psychopath
Oh forgotten thread lost to the ages,
Arise! Return to the front pages!
Watch the dates guys.
You can't judge anything by just guessing.
From my experience, all 5 starters are good in many areas of the game, including the Arena if you can get them to 5 stars. And those stars are pretty easy to get by opening bronze chests.
Even Arcane Sapper, Warchief, Old curse, Panda,... are sh** at 3 star or less.
agreed with you.
When i started in November Admiral is used until player unlock WC or if you manage to pull DK or Brute from the first free gold chest (like me). When that happens, she will be retired from any other action aside from the lesby trial or your desperate last tank in crusade, because your main team got wiped (no retreat that time). But since we now have orange gear & Skill, new lvl cap, 2 new trials level (fucking hard), opinions about her & her end game has changed as well.
Sigh, I really want to tell you is that, you slapped the poster Joseph unfairly.
you answered yourself. First you corrected Joseph who mentioned only"critical rate" not stating physical or magical. Which was the correct information at the time of his post.
You say "it is not xxx but xxx" when truly it is" it was xxx and changed to xxx"
Drawing the response from you is that you know the change and failed to credit the long ago dated post.
