dont bother chapter 8 onwards because you'll probably prefer to raid all to save time.
And it doesnt matter high or low levels certain maps will yield better exp with raids.

Does anyone have this information for Chapter 8? And would be willing to share it?

I guess if you have tons of time to commit to clicking start/auto attack the difference is minimal, but being able to blast through 100+ stamina in a matter of seconds is a huge benefit if your time is limited.
I agree that if on a low amount of time, raiding is a great option. Since reading this post, i made my own sheet for the stones i farm. So i am using the the Raid button more now. But i still prefer not to use it when i have plenty of time hehe.

I just want to add one thing to this. I hope you're not clicking the RAID 3 button. There's a chance that you'll get a stone on the first two tries. Yes, sometimes you won't get any. But I use the RAID # for items only. I wouldn't want to waste a third raid when I got my stone on the 1st or 2nd try.

I never do multiple raids on Elites, just when I'm farming for items. One raid at a time on Elites.

I suggest anyone thinking of "saving" tickets or stam on stone farming, to read the numerous threads on the subject. Look for the bits about the drop odds.

another hint when playing normal is the retreat option when you see that no items are dropped, especially when you are looting for soul stones. but again this is for early stages and for people with time.
also, if you go normal there is a chance of not winning, the especially if you try with lower level heroes or with less than five heroes, which again loses time.
so it goes down to time.

p.p. not sure - do you lose stamina with retreat option?

I believe you only lose 1 stamina though, as opposed to the full amount.

Whoa, I had never thought of retreating if no soul stones are dropped. If that actually works where then I might have to give that a try!!

It doesn't work, don't retreat to make items drop - you will get the same items once again.

There's a guide to maximizing SS drops around here somewhere. I believe you have to "reset" the instance to get new drops.

    Found it:

If you've got the time and willpower for this horrible grind then good luck.

Edit: Looks like the resetting option was patched. So I guess there's no trick to it anymore.

I have found only 4-5 times goblin merchant or black market (I'm 49 level) and it was only when doing normal fighting on elite stages, but never when using raid tickets. is there a connection or you can find merchants with raid tickets as well?

I pretty much raid exclusively and find goblin merchant fairly often and black market occasionally. I don't think it matters if you raid or fight normally.
